Account Executive – Job Vacancy in Johor Bahru

We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our finance team in Johor Bahru. This position plays a key role in managing the full set of accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting various accounting and administrative functions within the distribution or logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Full Set of Accounts Management:

  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and inventory accounting.

🔹 Data Entry & Record Keeping:

  • Perform accurate data entry, maintain organized financial records, and ensure proper documentation and filing.

🔹 Monthly Reports & Bank Reconciliation:

  • Prepare monthly schedules including deposit, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and banker acceptance interest listings.

  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.

🔹 Journal Entries & Inter-Company Transactions:

  • Post journal entries and issue debit notes for inter-company transactions on a monthly basis.

🔹 Communication & Liaison:

  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and relevant government authorities.

🔹 Invoice & Payment Processing:

  • Process vendor invoices, claims, and travel expenses. Ensure accuracy and timely payments.

🔹 Year-End Closing & Admin Support:

  • Assist with year-end closing activities and perform general administrative duties, including HR and payroll support.

🔹 Cash Management & Banking:

  • Manage daily banking tasks, maintain petty cash, and process cash disbursements and receipts.

🔹 Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and conduct margin and cost analyses.

🔹 Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

🔹 Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in preparing budgets, cash flow projections, and investment planning based on financial needs.

🔹 Credit Control & Statutory Payments:

  • Enforce company credit policies and ensure timely submission of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and SST.


Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of hands-on accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in full set of accounts and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, QuickBooks).

  • Strong Excel skills and analytical thinking.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organization and time management.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and standards.

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
