What is MM2H Malaysia?

MM2H, or Malaysia My Second Home, is a long-term residency program launched by the Malaysian government. It is designed to attract foreigners who wish to live, retire, or invest in Malaysia. Eligible applicants receive a multiple-entry social visit visa that allows them to stay in Malaysia for an extended period, with the option to renew. The MM2H program offers a unique opportunity for individuals and families seeking a second home in a vibrant, culturally rich, and affordable Southeast Asian country.

A APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR ISSUING OF SOCIAL VISIT PASS
(STICKER) FOR NEW MM2H PARTICIPANT

Processing time is one (1) day

1. Applicant must be present.
2. Intention letter/agency representative letter for MM2H agent. (stated the
duration you need.)
3. Original & copy passport (particular page, visa page and the latest entry
stamp).
4. Original & copy conditional approval letter.
v. Form Imm.12 (available at website JIM) with photo (blue background) for
all participants.
5. Bank letter (orignal & copy).
6. Fixed deposit (original & copy).
7. Insurance (original & copy). (60 years and above is not required).
8. Form RBII (medical report original – available at website JIM)
B APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR ISSUING OF SOCIAL VISIT PASS FOR WIFE/CHILDREN (UNTIL 21 YEARS OLD)

Processing time is within seven (7) working days

1. Applicant and principal must be present.
2. Letter of intention from the principal/sponsor.
3. Form Imm.12 (available at website JIM) with photo (blue background) for
all participants.
4. Marriage certificate/birth certificate with certified from the Embassy for
China document (original & copy required).
5. Original & copy of applicant’s passport.
6. Copy of principal’s passport (particulars & MM2H visa page).
7. Copy of conditional approval letter.
8. Original & copy of medical insurance.
9. Form RBII (medical report original – available at website JIM).
10. Personal bond stamped RM10.00.
C APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR ISSUING OF SOCIAL VISIT PASS FOR PARENTS

Processing time is within (7) working days

1. Applicant and principal must be present.
2. Letter of intention from the principal/sponsor.
3. Form Imm.12 (available at website JIM) with photo (blue background) for
all participants.
4. (2) passport size photo (blue background).
5. Original and copy of birth certificate of principal.
6. Original and copy of parents marriage certificate certified from Embassy
for China document.
7. Original and copy of parent’s passport.
8. Copy of principal’s passport & MM2H visa page.
9. Copy of principal’s conditional approval letter.
10. Original and copy of medical insurance (below 60 years old).
11. Form RBII (medical report original – available at website JIM).
12. Personal bond stamped RM10.00.
D APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR RENEWAL OF 10 YEARS SOCIAL VISIT PASS

Processing time is within (30) working days

1. Applicant must be present.
2. Letter of intention by the principal/sponsor.
3. Original & copy of the applicant’s passport.
4. Form Imm.55 (website JIM).
5. Current proof of 3 month offshore income RM10,000 and above.
6. Confirmation letter from the government for the pensioner.
7. Original & copy of fixed deposit.
8. Original of the confirmation letter from the bank.
9. Original & copy of conditional approval letter.
10. Original & copy of health insurance for below 60 years old.
E APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFER OF ENDORSEMENT FROM OLD TO NEW PASSPORT AND EXTENSION

Processing time is within (1) days

1. Applicant must be present.
2. Letter of intention by the principal/sponsor.
3. Copy of approval letter.
4. Form Imm.12 (available at website JIM) with photo (blue background) for
all participants.
5. Form Imm. 55 (available at website JIM).
6. Original & copy of old & new passport for applicant & principal.
7. Applicant who is 21 years and above and holding MM2H dependant
pass will not be given further extension.
F APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR PERMISSION TO STUDY

Processing time is within (1) days

1. Applicant & principal must be present
2. Application must be below 18 years old (above 18 years old need to
apply for student pass )
3. Copy of approval letter & letter of intention by principal/sponsor.
4. Complete student personal data form (available at immigration unit )
5. Original & copy of the applicant’s passport.
6. A passport size photo.
7. Letter of acceptance from public/private higher education/secondary
school/pre-school or international school.
8. Copy of principal’s passport.
9. Enrollment fee.
G APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR DOMESTIC HELPER

Processing time is within (14) days

1. Application by the principal (employer)/MM2H agent.
2. Completed domestic helper’s application form (available at website JIM) &
letter of intent.
3. Form Imm.12 (available at website JIM)
4. Approval letter from Philippine overseas employment administration
(POEA – for domestic helper from the Philippines only).
5. Passed medical check-up (from the origin country of domestic helper)
6. Employment contract from origin country if the maid already working with the principal (non-source worker)
7. Personal bond (stamped RM10.00 at duty stamp office)
8. A copy of the applicant’s passport & approval letter.
9. A copy of the principal’s passport (particulars & MM2H visa pages)
10. Employment’s contract (stamped RM10.00 at duty stamp office) – 2
original copies
11. SNP/tenancy agreement – original & copy.
12. Utilities bill (electric / water / Astro) – original ©.
13. Marriage/birth certificate – original& copy.
14. FOMEMA approval after the levi payment.
H APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR TERMINATION OF PASS

Processing time is within (3) working days

1. Applicant must be present.
2. Letter of intention by applicant/sponsor.
3. Authorize letter to withdraw fixed deposit from Ministry of Tourism
Malaysia
4. Original passport.
5. Original & copy of flight ticket.
6. Copy of approval letter.
7. I-card (if applicable).
