Renewing a foreign worker’s permit in Malaysia is now easier and more efficient with the MYEG online platform. Employers can conveniently renew the PL(KS) foreign worker permit online and have it delivered directly to their registered address upon successful payment and processing.


How to Renew a Foreign Worker Permit (PL(KS)) on MYEG

Follow these steps to renew your foreign worker’s permit online:

  1. Register for a MYEG Account

  2. Complete the Online Application

    • Fill out the required information accurately.

    • Ensure all details match the documents provided.

  3. Make Payment

    • Proceed with online payment after submitting your application.

  4. Delivery of Permit

    • Upon successful payment and approval, the renewed permit will be delivered to the provided address.

    • MyKad (Malaysian identity card) must be presented to confirm and accept the delivery.


Pre-Requisites Before Renewal

Before initiating the renewal process, ensure the following requirements are fulfilled:

  • Renew Insurance Policies

    • The Foreign Worker Insurance Guarantee (IG) and Foreign Worker Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance (FWHS)/SPIKPA must be renewed.

    • Keep the policy numbers ready as they are required during registration.

  • Certified Company Documents

    • Prepare Certified True Copies (CTC) of your company’s documents. These must be freshly stamped by:

      • Your Company Secretary, or

      • Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), or

      • Provide digitally certified CTCs

  • Appoint a Representative

    • Employers must designate a company representative to coordinate with MYEG.

    • A formal Appointment Letter is required as proof of representation.


Key Information About Permit Delivery

  • Permits will only be delivered after all required documents are verified and payment is completed.

  • Ensure the recipient presents their MyKad to confirm receipt upon delivery.

AFTER THE PERMIT HAS BEEN DELIVERED

  • a) A Company Director (whose name is stated on Form 49) to provide their MyKad for biometric thumbprint verification.
  • b) All Certified True Copy (CTC) documents must be submitted to attending MYEG officer*
    (*only applicable for your first-time transaction).

    • For a successful verification, the same Company Director must be present at the scheduled time and have their MyKad.
    • Up to three members can be named by the Director to approve the permit on his or her behalf.
    • The designated representative(s) must be approved by the director to serve as the registered company’s correspondence person.
    • All submitted documents will be verified by MYEG.
